KANG CHING a project by MyStory

It is no surprise how the chic-industrial style has defeated its long-standing Scandinavian opponent and won the hearts of many Singaporean homeowners. Both functional and striking, this interior concept is perfect for the trendy compact homes. A fantastic example of this is this five-room HDB flat situated along Kang Ching Road, designed by the team. Spotting the trademark elements of an industrial design, such as exposed electrical conduit, dark-framed carpentry and a smattering of raw laminates, the living space takes it a notch further by incorporating eclectic furnishings to create a personal haven that is unique and cosy.

Adjacent to the living room, the open kitchen and mini bar adds an utterly delightful punch to any visitors, making one feel at home almost immediately. The sombre matte tiles effectively clashes against the classic woodgrain vinyl floors, giving the illusions of a larger space. The overall design flows into the master bedroom, which flaunted a laissez-faire attitude thanks to the choice of furnishings. I would love to come back to a home like this, won't you?
